Silage time……….

It soon comes around, grass grown and ready to be cut and collected, then put into the silage pit, covered over and getting ready for Winter feed for the cattle, a bit like soaking the fruit to get the Christmas cake ready!!  Some of the grass we have left to wilt a little longer and then baled into drier haylage, which the young stock prefer……….a bit more to chew, a bit drier, and the horse like it too!!
