Jock Rome’s family have been farming around Kilnford for over 300 years, their Galloway beef and Blackface lamb graze on high land just a few miles from the farm shop at Kilnford. He farms with great integrity and his pigs have been awarded the highest Freedom Food award from the RSPCA. Kirkcudbright Farmers Market – Local Fruit, Veg & Artisan Produce

Kirkcudbright Farmers Market is a large regional market with a good variety of locally produced food, drink and crafts held in historic Kirkcudbright Town. The market is held the Town Hall but moves to Soaperie Gardens in the Kirkyard in the centre of the town during summer months. This is a large market with a wide range of local produce with around 20-30 stalls take part each month.
