Sheep management they call it………..all lambs weaned off their mummies to give them a rest, worming completed and fly deterrent applied so that the horrid flies don’t lay their eggs and cause maggots to grow and hassle the sheep and lambs.
The ewes will be pleased to enjoy some time off grazing on the luscious grass on the hills over looking Ross Island at one end of the farm, or Brighouse Bay at the other side. They make their own “sheep pads” which miander around the beautiful coastline and keep out of any wet areas, as sheep really don’t like getting their feet wet!
