Well we had a night out………not like you imagine………Philippa took our first dairy calf to the Holstein show held at Castle Douglas and they earned themselves a second prize in the Young Handler.
Her show name is Sugarhill Applecrisp Bonita………gosh I hear you say…… thats a fair name……..how did they come up with that………well, Sugarhill is our holstein prefix, Applecrisp is part of her fathers name, and Bonita is part of her genetical mothers name……..
She is a little young to be showing but it is great to get her used to the showing and familiar to all the noises and goings on at shows whilst she is small enough to manage………she may be a little more difficult to persuade when she is fully grown. When you are her on holiday, why not arrange to come and meet Bonita and some of the other animals…….we have lots as you will have gathered!!
