Our resident shepherdess Philippa is helping out move this lovely set of twin lambs to a field of fresh grass. Their proud mother will give more milk and the lambs can skip around and shelter under the gorse, behind walls or under the trees when the sunshine hides (as it does at lambing time!!)
Can you imagine waking up to this glorious sunrise on a February morning? This is at Ross Bay and our holiday guests could enjoy the full view, and watch it rise high in the sky…………..ahh a way to relax in a morning on holiday whilst the breakfast is being prepared.
The beautiful Isle Of Man, just sat there in the sea. It looks so close sometimes and as clear as a bell yet other times hidden from our view by the weather. What a beautiful place we live when we can see so much and so far without leaving the farm. It is no wonder
There is nothing which seems to attract sightseeing quite like a rough high tide, the white sea froth, the waves crashing on the rocks, boats bobbling up and down in Kirkcudbright harbour. Don’t we all like to catch a crashing wave hitting the rocks if we can?

The grass is going and the weather has turned. Woolly sheep, hairy cattle and lots of hard work on the farm at this time of the year! We always look forward to the Winter solstice, after the 21st December the days start getting longer again. We will be planning to scan the sheep in January
All jobs have good and bad points, ours too. As we head off around the farm on the quadbike to check the stock it is sometimes great to just stop and take in the view……how lucky are we to have a view like this from on the top of Meikle Ross? No wonder the sheep
