The new addition to the Ross herd is steady Eddie, as we have called him. He is really quiet and only young. Hopefully he will work well and produce us some lovely young calves in the spring!
Our newly refurbished Dairy House, boasting a lovely balcony with views over the bay towards Cumbria. A glass of Prosecco to unwind, either on the balcony, in the retreat room from the Jazzy chair or the Ekornes stressless recliner chairs – the choice is yours………………..
A few days after his arrival our new bull has met some of the girls and now looks rather settled.
We have recently purchased a new bull which is a Belgian blue cross limousin to join our herd down here at Ross Farm. He is 2 years old, rather good looking, very sensible, and hopefully he will be a good dad!!!
Its this time of year that a farm comes to live, it is a hive of activity after a long winter. The cows are back in the fields and calving underway. While lambing has brought the joy of the new season to us all and you will see small groups of lambs charging around, jumping
