Ross Bay Retreat – Best Self Catering Accommodation Finalist – West Region
We are very excited here at Ross Bay Retreat as the Scottish Thistle Awards day is fast approaching and we have been nominated. The date that we will biting our nails, crossing our fingers and gently holding some colourful, lucky Scottish thistle, is the 28th November 2019.
Just under a week to go and we will be all togged up and attending the prestigious Gala Awards Dinner in Glasgow, an evening of lively entertainment, great food laid on and of course the prestigious Thistle Awards.

We are very lucky to be shortlisted amongst some wonderful and worthy competition. Congratulations also to all past winners of this category too. We wish everyone a lovely evening and good luck on the night.
It has again been a wonderful year at Ross Bay Retreat and we have welcomed many lovely guests, often accompanied by their four legged friends who have enjoyed the amazing coastline, beach and great local walks that we are lucky to have around here at Ross Bay.
We have also been busy this year here at Ross Bay Retreat as we continue to look for new and innovative ways to be more environmentally friendly both on our farm and the holiday cottages. We have introduced and tried out a number of new measures to provide increased bio-diversity and greener farming methods and we positively encourage ‘Green Tourism’ as we strive for the Gold Award in 2020 too after achieving Silver Status this year at our first attempt.
A very big massive thank you to all our lovely guests we have been lucky enough to have had staying with us over the last five years and for all your kind guest reviews, comments and support.
We look forward to welcoming you, your friends and family back anytime in the future (bring your dogs back too, it is great to see them so happy here).
