Spring turnout………

Well at last the Winter is over, rather long it always feels but the cattle are all outside enjoying the sunshine, grass and still cold evenings.  This nosey lot are playing on our field called the Inks for Summer.  They are mainly pedigree limousin cattle, which are young.  We plan to breed off them and try to produce a calf to take to some shows and hopefully a new stock bull.  Their names are Neve, Osianna, Ora, Olivia,  and Olomie (the first letter of their name indicates the year in which they were born i.e. Neve is a year older than Osianna).  The cow and calf are called May and Paige (P is the letter for 2019).  There are a couple of others playing there too, Cutie, Jaegerbomb, Izzards girl (none pedigree but our names – difficult to explain on paper!!!)  Believe it or not although we have many cattle most have names or references (Nosey, Runaway, Splash, Chelsea, Chocolate, Freda, Daisy, Fifi to name a small few).
